Eternal Chair 2007/2008 Eternal Chair, I have during my training at the art academy made. The assignment was to make something with your family had to do. The chair that I made is an old chair that my grandmother was. The chair is completely handmade and is made of solid concrete. This is a long and intensive project has been of one year. Almost square enough to fitt in society 2009/2010 After making Eternal Cahir 2 I had the taste of welding tackle. I started making blocks of iron. During the making of the blocks of iron is further idea formation of the image. The concrete blocks were poured into wooden blocks in the concrete so you can see the beautiful wood grain. Almost square enough table 2010 After making square Almost enough to fit into society, I had some iron blocks over. Rust in Peace 2011 This image came about because I wanted to try something different with rebar and concrete. Normal is the rebar in the concrete, now I wanted to get the cursor by using it as would be appropriate. So you see the rebar on the outside of the concrete and therefore will not rust. Symbiose 2010/2011 Symbiosis is actually caused by a weekend to go to the Ardennes. Here was a few nice pieces of wood which I brought home. Sunken Table 2014 This table is made from an old ship’s hatch that Niki found in area where the river Maas was flooded in 2012. The ship’s hatch was very heavy so Niki cut out some figures to lower the weight. In these figures he put coloured glass that represent the colour of the river Maas. The ship’s hatch has a nice texture because of the encroachment of the water. On top of the hatch Niki put a glass plate to make it into a table. Under neat the table Niki put 3 industrial wheels so it can be moved, these wheels are one with the table. Height: 40 cm Length: 88 cm Width: 62,5 cm Weight: +-220 pounds Material: Iron and Glass |
